NEGATIVA: Debut CD To Be Released Through Newly Launched PRODISK Label

NEGATIVA, the Quebec-based band featuring former GORGUTS members Steeve Hurdle (guitar, vocals) and Luc Lemay (guitar, vocals),along with Etienne Gallo (drums, ex-AUGURY) and Miguel Valade (bass, ex-ION DISSONANCE),will release its debut, self-titled multimedia mini-CD via the new metal label Prodisk.

Prodisk was created in March 2006, a few days after Remi Cote's departure from GWN. The label's first release, PANDEMONIUM's second work, entitled "The Autumn Enigma", was unleashed in June and basically served as a business card to re-open various distribution accounts and set various other deals.

"Working with my old time friend Eric Galy (Galy Records),and various bands I've worked with in the past are just a few things that make me want to go forward with this label thing, and my new team will pull off phenomenal work in no time," Remi said. "I needed some back-up this time, and I found it. I will not go back to where I was with GWN… working 90 hours a week, not sleeping right or taking a day off… never again!"

Other upcoming releases include GORGUTS' "Live In Rotterdam" CD, NOURRITURE / DISJONKTATION split CD (both bands featuring FISTFUCK and ex-DAHMER members) and the U.S. touring machine INTESTINAL STRANGULATION.

Prodisk has signed various new agreements for 2007, including new deals with PAROXYSM, TALAMYUS, BRIEF RESPITE, new local heroes SOCIAL REVOLVER and a deal covering OBLIVEON's entire back catalogue.

"It just shows a bit of what Prodisk is all about… diversity and not following any trends, said Remi. "Yeah, I'm happy with what has been happening lately… it's finally fun to work in this business again!"

Prodisk has hired the new PR company Caustic Rhythms to take care of its promotion. Canadian distribution goes through Galy Records exclusively.
